His life takes a sudden turn when he first meets Marla Singer at a testicular cancer support group he goes to (despite having no cancer) and a bigger turn again happens when he meets Tyler. Our nameless narrator functions as a our lens into the life of the disassociated middle class guy who is so detached from reality that everything to him is ‘a copy of a copy of a copy’. Leading them all is Tyler Durden, waiter, projectionist and anarchist who is determined to fix the modern world whether we want it or not. There are rules, no shirts, no shoes and one fight at a time.

The book we read was ‘Fight Club’ (in case that wasn’t obvious yet) and here I am to talk books.
